May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
    May the sun shine warm upon your face;
The rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

    Welcome HOME...

I'm not sure how to start this, but I know it's going to be a very long post here... lurker beware. Also, since this whole post is dedicated to my experience and my leaving of HOME then I assume it's very much on topic.

I will be leaving very shortly from the network and probably the whole internet for quite a long time. I have accepted a long term position overseas and I will not be bringing my PS3 along or a laptop for lack of owning one. The details are not important, but I will be gone for "about' a year and a half to two years or so. No no... not some government thing. Again, details are not important and that's not what this is about.

I started HOME the first day it went open Beta and have been loving it ever since. I have met the best at their worst and the worst at their best and everything in between. I've met people who would spit on you as much as look at you and I've met people who would gladly give you the shirt off their back and break bread with you. I've met younger and older, mature and ignorant, talkative and quiet, drunk and stoned, gamer and social outcast, the intelligent and the outright ludicrous, the helpers and the harassers, the comfortable and the skitish, and even the brave and the timid.

HOME... HOME has it all and from all walks of life. I have been to every single HOME space from all regions allowed from North America, Europe, China and even Japan. Each one is unique in their own way and each one has its positives and negatives. A lot of people talk about what the "best" HOME is purely based on virtual items or game spaces. While I will say an opinion can not be wrong... this alone does not make any region better than any other. Do you know what does? It's the interaction you get and the friends you make and the online gaming you do with those friends.

That's it. At it's core, HOME is an online social network for online gamers on the Playstation 3 to meet and great and have a good time. Yes, many other elements make up HOME, but that is it's core I think. With that being said, I would like to take this time to honor people that have been a part of my virtual life on HOME and/or have inspired me within HOME. Most, if not all, usernames will be altered to some degree out of respect.

First and foremost, the HOME Community Specialist, Locust Star. Locust, you are the true voice of the people here and I do indeed thank you for all you've done and will continue to do for the future of HOME. On a more personal level, I had the opportunity to do a "1 on 1" (actually it was a 2 on 1, but who's counting) with you not too long ago. It wasn't a Q&A, just a brief discussion of things going on at the time. Thank you again for that, and I will need an official tour guide when I get back. You did answer a couple questions I had on a personal level and those are mine to keep. Keep up the good work bro... and don't let Buggie stay in his cage too long. Also to Buggie, good luck to you in your new position.

Joelle/Huny. I think you where the very first person I met on HOME that actually added me as a friend. Damn we had a ton of fun in bowling and making fun of people. You're very witty, and its a shame we havent talked in a long time... we just don't game the same. Good luck with the little one... and by that I mean your man, lol.

Big MAF. You teh man, no you teh man, no YOU teh man, you're the man now dawg! Another cool dude I met on the first night, we had a blast man and you kicked me royally in bowling. It was cool meeting your son to, a shame we don't game the same but I still see you once in awhile. Don't know if you lurk on the forums or not, but if you do, now you know what happened to me. PEACE BRO!

Krit. You're quirky and made the crew bag the heck up at times. I think that echochrome game went to your head bro, but it was never a dull moment with you around and that is the truth. Stay stoned, don't change who you are.

Chris, Kate and Julia. Brother, sister and Chris's girl. Only one thing to say. XD
It was cool meeting you Chris, and Kate kinda turned into my lil sis on HOME. Always fun, always funny, always laughing and that's how I liked it. Me and Kate starting hanging out a lot more when Chris and Julia started up Little Big Planet 24/7, but that's cool. Remember when we didn't talk for a few weeks and I thought I forgot Kate's real name, lol! But then it turned out I remembered and I wiped the sweat from my brow. Have fun in college lil sis, and you better watch out for her Chris or Ima kick your tail when I get back.

Ardvark/Allen. One of the people I met later on in HOME, and we became very good friends because of it. We got a lot in common bro, and I'm glad to have met you. Those nights on Burnout where legendary, but I GOT THE GOLD CARS BEFORE YOU! XD Seriously though, that time saver pack is messed up. I don't think I got the chance to tell "Cherry" goodbye, make sure she knows ok? Have fun with your woman bro, see ya!

    Denny. Wow... where to start...
To be honest, we talk just about everyday and we've been through a lot together. I think I have said mostly everything I had to say to you to your face in HOME and Burnout. Did you really buy it just to hang out with me more? =O or is there something you're not telling me. JOKING. You're a good friend and somebody like that I can't just put out of my mind easily. Again, whatever we had to say we have said to each other. Thanks for being there for me in more ways than one, I shall truly miss you a lot.

Laporta. Keep up the good work in HOME babe. More than that, thanks for being who you are with me. No matter what has happened in the past, no matter what has been said or how things turned out, no matter what rumors and facts where uncovered or hidden, no matter what... you where there when I needed you the most and you probably didn't even realize it at the time. You're the type of person I wish I knew in real life because I know you'll give it to me straight and handle when I give it right back to you. Don't you ever... EVER... change who you are for somebody else. If they can't handle it then that's their problem. Also (in things we talked about) sometimes it's better to follow your head and not your heart. The heart wants to be loved but the head will keep you on the right path. You are loved, you will be missed.

Luiggy. My MAIN man! We got together here on the forums because we share the same views when it comes to glitching and glitchers and exploits in HOME and gaming in general. Then it became more than that, you're a good friend and I highly respect you. You better have an open slot in Team Omega when I get back, I mean that, lol. Seriously, you are truly here for the community not only on the forums but within HOME itself as well. Thanks for everything bro... and watch that frying pan to the head. =)

I have to do a plug for him right now. I think he is highly respected on the forums here and on HOME itself. I would like to nominate him for an MVP status here. Just look at his posting history and how he comes across to people. He didn't ask me to do this, this is just something I would like to see happen. How can you do this... just PM the Admin Ascalon if you feel the same way. Link to LUIGGY's profile so he can see for himself how much of an asset we have in LUIGGY here. Ok plug over, lol.

Team Omega. I know some of you guys, Pasu, JVB, Jim, Soccer and a few others. You guys do good work and you're really a nice bunch of guys. Thanks for all the advice Pasu with regard to a couple games. Thanks for the hints in Xi JVB. Jim and Soccer I didn't get to know too well and I wont lie and say I did. All I can say is you guys are cool dudes and ugh... well... yea, lol. Take care. Mbs Aegar, thanks a ton for the code bro. You're one of the nice ones on the network and I'll never forget that. Peace.

The Sully's Bar Posse. I spent many a night in Sully's Bar, almost every night. You guys have no idea how much of a blast I had. I was one of the first few people that learned how to get on top of and behind the bar in Sully's. I learned it on New Years Eve and had the best time of my life virtually serving drinks to everybody up and past the stroke of midnight. Weeks later, others learned it and kinda killed the fun... but I still kept going to Sully's. People like Cass, Ms. Merc, Deception, Veni, Creepy Crawler, Alcoholic Teen, Chaos, The 2 guys always bartending now whos names have slipped my mind, and many many others to list. A special shoutout to Cass and Ms. Merc. I wish I could have gotten to know you better Cass, those last letters we exchanged will be protected and saved. You're one of kind, very intelligent, and I hope to see you again. Ms. Merc, thank you for being who you are and thank you for the poem you recited to me. It's a classic and did bring some tears to my eye. I hope I don't "BANJANXED" anything, lol. God bless.

Nameless Ones. Some people may have, shall we say, distorted views of what N1 is. That's fine and dandy... but hold onto your top hat because I'm about to tell you what N1 is not. N1 does not discriminate. N1 does not force anybody to have a certain view. N1 does not spend hours a week on bashing another club or other people within another club. N1 starts when they say they're gonna start. N1 does not cancel a meeting because a lead can not attend. N1 does not make people stay if they don't want to. N1 does not record certain meetings and hold them as "evidence" to be used at a later date. N1 does not gang up on it's own members because one or two have a problem with a certain individual. N1 does not let one person be a dictator in a meeting. So what are they? Well... it's already in a thread here to be honest. It's a gathering of like minded peoples who discuss online gaming, HOME, the PSN Store and we even throw in some "other console news" sometimes.

A big shout to the N1 members I have gotten to know. I really hate to group you guys together like this, but the truth is I really haven't spent too much time with majority of you cool cats. (If I neglect somebody, I'm very very sorry and please don't take it personally)

Evo, keep on keeping on, which means keep it real. You're very educated and opinionated about the gaming industry. Make your voice heard.

BLACKBIBLE, you run a tight ship... which means a fly ship. Thanks for including me in the discussions inside and outside of N1 and enjoy Burnout bro. Oh yea... one more thing... "EFF YOUR COUCH BLACK! YOUR COUCH BROTHER DARKNESSES DARKNESSES DARKNESSES. XD

Asuka, damn girl you have one sexy hawt voice. It's true, and you dress all kinds of stylishly. A real shame we didn't hang out in HOME besides the meetings. CHEERS BABY!

Benighted, mwahahaHA! You have a unique laugh, don't ever change it. It was cool hanging out with you babe, stay true to yourself... and you still owe me a date. =P

Wolverine, thanks for the letter bro, glad we met. Stay cool and N1's 4 LIFE! TOO SWEET!

Wittywhitwhit, "these feetsprints aint gonna clean demselves". Very cool dude, you rocked that Blanka outfit. And that zipper tattoo in the back was a lil annoying but oh well.

Jiggy, Crash, Tricky, Over21, Speedy and everybody else whos name escapes me right now. Be cool, stay cool. It was a blast hanging out, I'll be back... and in one piece. Peace.

Who else... who else... there are just too many to name right now.

Steph, you my bestest buddy on HOME and somebody I could confide in. We laughed so hard at the dumbest stuff our sides where hurting. Keep the kitty away from the wires and the keyboard, "We found a witch may we burn her!", "Ni", and all other kinds of crazy stuff. Good luck with Ryan, I'll miss you.

Kathryn, me and you had an interesting relationship as it where. Since that is private, I'll not go into details. You're art has many different styles to it and I definitely think you should pursue a career in that. You don't just have one style either, drawing, painting and photography would be great choices. I know you're as smart as they come to, a pity I didn't experience more of it.

Honey... I am so glad you got away from that lunatic. I think that night was the first night we really got to know each other. You found out not only am I one goofy SOB... but you saw a very serious side to me. A side I don't show very often. What can I say, I am who I am. You're very intelligent, use your head more than your heart. <--- You know what I mean by that. Good luck with your man, take care.

Voozi, wow we had some laughs, I'm so glad I was able to meet with you on a lot of things. Remember how we met? Yea well... I'd like to forget to, lol. Keep on writing. Can you believe that happened after what you did? LOL! You do something funny as hell and I take the blame for it, lol! Good times dear... good times... keep laughing.

All the other girls I've met on HOME and on the Forums. AliceStar (drink up at Sully's), Chiki (lets do bowling), Cherry (you're a sweetheart), Crystal (help is only a click away), Jenn (that's your PS3), Jorj (never drink and game... you meet strange people), Laluxe (DON'T CALL ME THAT CALL ME BOO), Leslie (was that REALLY your picture, hmm...), Tina (Glad I could help when I could), Megan (same same, glad to help. "You got the whole world... the whole wide world":smileywink:, HER (download commencing), OFMD (we just met, be cool in N1 and have a blast), Ralf (always a kid or two in the background, stop bathing them in coffee, lol), Ratchet/Liz (so you gotta go and give WHAT to your husband? XD), Rockstar ("You got the whole world... the whole wide world", nice hat), Steel/AlienPaper (those are some cool designs, next time bring a mic so we can chat), Hollie (I think we talked more on the forums than we did in HOME, who'd have thunk it), Yaoi Girl (It was a great honor meeting you and talking to you. I said it once and I'll say it again... I wish I knew you in real life. :smileywink:

Lyra's Oxford Club. Meadow, we could have done a lot more than we did. That time in Hong Kong and the "Money_God" was a blast! I'll leave it at that.

A big shoutout to what I call the Kargat, the Shadow Network of HOME. I never realized you guys where so big with branches over all regions. If there is info to be obtained, you'll get it in one way or another. Friends in all the right places that leads to other friends that leads to a target. The internets serious business.

The Burnout Paradise crew. People like Megatron, King, Mad Mike, TonyHotrod/ToniHotRod, Bullet and some other peeps. Heck with all the takedowns... JUST PLAY THE GAME! =D I had a blast. It's the second best online game ever, second to the first MGO in my onion (yes I have an opinion and an onion).

The GameFAQS HOMies. I've been on GF for a long time, and with the same username. Keebs, we had a blast in Warhawk with Pasu, thanks for the help. Xi is a totally different monster. BRAD, one of the more for real for real peoples I have met. Keep on collecting the HOME stuff so I can see it at a later time. Also I'm glad Matt pounded the crap outta his brother Jeff at Wrestlemania. Matt is gonna hold gold (not silver) someday. Lara, have fun hun, glad I could help you out when I could. GoddessGirl, I hope you bounce back soon. Thanks for all the good times and the "date" we had in China. Rehvy, we first met when everybody was locked inside that room in Sully's, LOL! Good times indeed. I don't see you on much anymore, but we gotta play RE5 when I get back. ShadowTehReaper. Sorry I deleted myspace, just got boring. You the best Sloth a partner could ask for. Sensei Jim. Thanks for the help, now get to headshatten those n00bs. Ultimate Snake. You're a jerk, but you rocked MGO. Drop the tude dude and let the headshots fly. Risky P Martini. Has it really been 3 years? 4 years? Wow... where did the time go. We should have hung out in HOME more bro and virtually dance raped SS4444. =D You a cool cat. Is Dark Zero still around? Haven't seen him in ages. MasterHIM has long since retired from MGO. If Konami got their head outta their bum, they'd re-instate the first MGO. I'd pay full price ($30 or more) for it just to be able to sit in a box for 10 minutes and get the BADDEST COOLEST HEADSHOT EVA! A big shout to all the people at the NES Final Fantasy Board, you know who you are.

I guess that's about it. I have had the best time of my virtual life on HOME and these are only samplings of what really went on inside and out of HOME. My Friend List went from about 10 (pre-HOME) to well over a hundred. Sorry I had to delete some people at certain times, it was usually the ones I had one good game of bowling with and they just HAD to add me, lol.

Don't ever forget the man who had a style all his own. NOBODY else could dress the way I did. Nobody else could sport the flashy black/blue hair, the heart shaped glasses, the Warrior Top (Ninja top but I call it the Warriors Top), the NAMCO shorts all with the Pirate Boots. And on those hot days, same glasses with Black Tank Top, Ninja Pants and Pirate Boots. That's me. While I did change it up once in a great while, I stayed true to what I felt comfortable in.

Thanks for the memories, and I'll be back... and in one piece. I love you all. Morgren out.
