Well February 17th the first installment in the Street Fighter Series in a long time and I can tell you one thing from experience Capcom didn't pull any punches. I understand some people wanted a "new" kind of street fighter some even wanted a 3d Street Fighter to be honest with you that would be kind of cool. While this game doesn't come at you like a totally new fighting game .. any fan/veteran of the street fighter series can very easily pick this game up and find everything to be all too familiar. I honestly like what I have seen so far .. the Ultra combos rock you like a hurricane ... EX moves make for some interesting stratagy ... Arcade mode is deep considering you have to unlock alot of the fighters... cut scenes while sometimes bland .. it did remind me of certain funny scenes out of some anime cartoons. Most of all ... online play , for me lag was never an issue they fine tuned the online play in this game and its much better than the effort they put into Super Street Fighter II turbo HD remix. Which leads me to another plus ... I have always been a fan of the arcade scene since I was a very young teenager... and I saw an option that just suddenly put me in a crowded room...you now have the ability to turn an option on that allows for people on the playstation network to place an imaginative quarter in the coin slot and challenge you to a match in the middle of your single player play. I just found that to be very interesting really. Oh and .. need I also mention .. if you bring up ingame XMB .. and select an mp3 file and set it to shuffle you can play your own music while you wipe the floor with Seths ass? I can go all day about this game ..

Interesting Review Wolv, i am a street fighter fan since i was little and when i saw the gametrailers review for this game .. something turned me off from what i seen actually 2 things.

    1. Their's a meter bar at the bottom of the screen for to make special moves more powerfull. i don't like the sound of that their adding onto the street fighter game i can certainly understand but i don't like the sound of it.

    2. you can block or ricochet some moves .. you can't do that in Street fighter II you either avoid it or get it .. that's the way it was for me .. is it Good you can ricochet it ? Yes that's helpfull but it's not how i grew up playing street fighter.

those two things bug me about the game i haven't played it but i don't think i'l buy it maybe if it's on sale but .. i just can't see me buying this game.

    Good Review Tho Wolv

Well ... that meter acctually got its start in the alpha series ... I don't see it as a bad thing ... it works to your advantage ...more so online than in arcade play really . As for number 2.. This game isn't trying to be street fighter 2 either , it just has some familiar elements from it ...repeating , it's not trying to be Street Fighter 2 ... It plays like a fighter to me ... It has the best of ALL the street fighters .. not just 2 ... and if you weren't a fan of all of them then yea sf 4 is a hard pill to swallow ... I have played every version of Street Fighter since the Turbographix 16 .. and the way this game has evolved astounds me.

I would love this game more if it wasn't so damned impossible to pull off Super/Ultra combos...

I got in quite a bit of practice with that. It definitely takes time to understand how to pull them off.

Put it this way, go into training mode, and max those meters. Perfect practice there. If you want to make your practice count, go try those challenges. The early ones keep your bars maxed, so you can try to practice there as well.

As a matter of fact, it was those challenges that really helped me understand how to pull the moves off.

Yeah I've gone like a whole hour in one of those challenges trying to pull off the Super/Ultra combos with some of the characters.

The one major gripe I have right now with this game is those stupid trial challenges. The only reason I'm going through it is just to get more items for customization.

    But god it is annoying.

I like the trial challenges and Survival mode ... its acctually a good training tool as I go for the Beat Arcade mode and Gouken on hardest Difficulty trophy.

Maybe I am so out of touch with the fighting engine that I find Seth on easiest difficulty to be difficult.

I've been trying for the past half hour to beat him with Sakura.

I got the gold "100 matches won" trophy!

I was so happy... I found enough 100 easy wins because god do I suck at this game. LOL

But it was fun all the way. Now trying to get all those challenges done is quite a task.
