Or maybe they could list the items in the window of the threads store or even have manequins dressed with the new items.
But you should have to go into Home to see any new items. Remember that Home is an Ad sponsored app, ie since sponsors pay for ad space to keep it free for you and me.

You know abk, I was with you until Speed's post. Home is ad-driven, and as such we need to go there, see the ads, and keep the sponsors happy.
